1. Gather the necessary tools and supplies

Before you begin, gather the necessary tools and supplies. You will need an oil filter wrench, a socket wrench, a funnel, a drain pan, a new oil filter, and the appropriate amount of new oil for your vehicle. Refer to your vehicle owner’s manual to determine the right type and amount of oil.

2. Locate the oil filter and drain plug

The next step is to locate the oil filter and drain plug. Typically, the oil filter is located at the bottom of the engine, and the drain plug is located under the oil pan. Refer to your owner’s manual to locate these components.

3. Drain the old oil

Place the drain pan under the drain plug and use the socket wrench to loosen the plug. Allow the old oil to drain completely. Be careful, as the oil may be hot. Once the oil has drained, replace the drain plug.

4. Replace the oil filter

Use the oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter. Take care not to spill any oil on the ground. Apply a thin layer of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter and install it by hand. Tighten the filter with the wrench, but don’t overtighten it.

5. Refill with new oil

Remove the oil cap from the engine and insert the funnel. Slowly pour in the new oil, checking the dipstick periodically until you reach the recommended level. Be careful not to overfill.

6. Check the oil level

Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to settle. Check the oil level once again and add more oil if necessary. Now You have successfully changed your motor Engine oil. Remember to dispose of the old oil properly by taking it to a recycling center or mechanic.
